My name is Renee Ann Rust and I'm 20 years old. I'm a
sophomore at the University of Texas, but plan to transfer next semester to the
University of St. Thomas in downtown Houston. My goal is to obtain a degree in
elementary education and become a 4th grade teacher. It may be a low paying job,
but it's rewarding and fulfilling. The exciting news is that I plan on getting
married after I graduate in '99. My boyfriend's name is Anthony. I'm sure you
all care, but there's our picture. Anyway, my purpose for creating this web site
is to fulfill my English 309 assignment about the "New Generation" and to inform
the internet browsers about the ideas and opinions of Sister Souljah. She has
interesting views on multiculturalism and they are shocking. Basically, in a
world that has embraces different cultures, Souljah feels division between races
is the answer. You decide if she is right. What are her ideas? You'll have to
link on to my page about her book to see. Be prepared! Her opinions and views
are scary. Make sure you keep scrolling down to see pictures of Souljah.

Now, here's some information on the life of Lisa
Williamson, a.k.a Sister Souljah. If you don't already know, she's a rapper,
activist, and a hip-hop rebel. In her book, she "sets the record straight on
where she stands on life, love, spirituality, and race." She was born in 1964 in
New York City and was raised by a single mother. She went on to attend Cornell
University, their advanced summer program, and a study-abroad progam at Spain's
University. Souljah majored in American history and African studies at Rutgers
University. Her ideas and opinions have led her to travel and lecture in
America, Europe, and Africa. In Enfield, North Carolina she founded the African
Youth Survival Camp for children of homeless families. In 1992 Souljah released
her rap album, "360 Degrees of Power", and a video, "Slavery's Back in Effect".
Both received national attention and media uproars. Sister souljah now lives in
New York with her husband and her son. No Disrespect is her first book.
